Répondez S'il Vous Plaît
It’s 41 days until The Big Day! By this time, all wedding invitations have already been sent out and you should already have received yours. Just a quick reminder, the deadline to RSVP is February 5th (six days from now). For today’s journal entry, I’d like to share with you the process we went through when it came to ordering our wedding invitations…

Save The Date!
At this point in time, I’m guessing that you’re no longer new to the idea of a Save-The-Date card—that card that couples send out to their guests months ahead of the actual wedding invitation which simply says, “We’re tying the knot… Save the date [the date of the wedding]!”.
If you ask me if sending out Save-The-Date cards is necessary, I’d say…

Our Engagement Photo Shoot
You must have already noticed by now that we’ve updated the photos on the website. The photos that you see were from our Engagement Photo Shoot and for this journal entry, I’d like to share with you exactly what went into the planning, preparations, and actual shoot… from start to finish.

C'mon N' Ride It
Other than the wedding vows we’ll be exchanging next year, an important promise Bernie and I made to each other was to not allow ourselves be eaten up by the usual wedding planning stressors… to never forget that this is a joyous event in our lives, and we’re sharing it with the people we love, and so we will make sure that we all have a great time, no matter what…

When The Estradas Met The Saavedras
For the past (almost) four months, I haven’t been able to post anything new here on our website. Bernie and I both were inundated with work and family stuff.
Even though the word “inundated” is synonymous to overwhelm or overload, we are most definitely not complaining. In fact, during this time, something truly amazing and beautiful happened.

Don’t Be Trippin’!
This one goes out to all the ladies!
Our wedding is seven months away but I’m already getting the most frequently-asked question that’s not COVID-19 related…

Shall We Dance, Mr. Estrada?
The secret’s out: Bernie and I are taking dance lessons to prepare for our First Dance as husband and wife. Who came up with this crazy idea? ✋ Guilty.

Have Your Wedding Cake and Eat It Too!
I honestly have no idea when exactly the Cake Cutting tradition started, or where the idea of it originated from. Some sources say that it goes as far back as the Roman Times when the groom broke bread over his bride’s head to…

Live Every Day Like It’s Taco Tuesday!
In case you haven’t yet gathered, we are a MexiPino couple 🇲🇽🇵🇭 (Bernie is Mexican and I’m Filipino). And although we’re merging our cultures, traditions and individual personalities in our wedding, I wanted to pay tribute to Bernie’s ancestry…

Our Wedding Timeline (The First 6 Months)
I’m a very chill bride… I don’t stress over our wedding details and I intend to keep it that way. Because nobody ever wants to hang out or deal with a #Bridezilla … like EVER.

Meet Our Official Hair & Makeup Artist
The next wedding task that I made sure to take care of immediately was booking our official hair and makeup artist. When it comes to choosing one, I based my decision on a specific “look” that I want for my bridal makeup.

Our Unplugged Ceremony & Wedding Hashtag
If you’ve gone over our FAQs page, then you must’ve already seen our response to the question of whether or not you can share the photos that you took during our wedding on your social media accounts…

And So The Real Journey Begins…
When we booked our venue, our contact person, Katey, asked us who our wedding officiant is going to be. Bernie and I only had one person in mind.

What In The World Is A 'Garden Formal' Dress Code???
A lot of people often confuse a ‘garden wedding’ dress code with the ‘casual’ or ‘informal’ dress code. It’s not the same.

Our Wedding Palette
Just as it is in interior design, picking your colors is critical to setting the tone, mood and scene for your wedding. So what was our inspiration for picking our official wedding colors?

Meet Our Wedding Photographer—Matthew Reiter.
Another wedding vendor that gets booked months or even a year in advance is the photographer. So when the time came for Bernie and me to decide who our official wedding photographer is going to be, the sense of urgency and overchoice was undeniable.

Live Musicians vs. DJ
The package we got with our wedding venue included a DJ—which was awesome! But I told Bernie that I want to have a string quartet for the ceremony, cocktail hour and some key parts of the reception.

Location. Location. Location.
At the top of every couple’s Wedding To-Do checklist is deciding on the venue. It’s among the first things you need to secure right away because wedding venues get booked super fast!

Setting The Date
Bernie and I initially had our minds set on September 25th, 2021. So what led to our decision to move the date to next year?
