Our Wedding Palette

Just as it is in interior design, picking your colors is critical to setting the tone, mood and scene for your wedding. The wedding color palette is the basis for choosing the colors for your wedding elements—from invitations, to flowers, to attire, even the colors for the wedding website!

Our inspirations for choosing our wedding palette are our birth stones—Bernie was born in August so his birth stone is Peridot which is green. I was born in February and Amethyst is my birthstone which is purple.

Identifying our birth colors was easy, but deciding on the actual color palette based on those two colors wasn’t as easy.

I turned to Pinterest to look for different purple-and-green palettes, and there were so many different variations. I couldn’t decide right away.

So I took screenshots of the palettes I found online and I ran a poll with Bernie and our daughters, Arra, Zoe and Maily. Each one of them voted for the best color palette. We started with maybe six palettes and narrowed it down to two. Then when it came down to the Top 2 palettes, I ran a second poll with them to find out which one would be our winning palette.

And so here it is, friends—our official wedding palette, with Wisteria lavender and Celadon green being the main colors. Use this as your guide when choosing a color for your outfit to the wedding. 😊
