Setting The Date

Bernie and I initially had our minds set on September 25th, 2021. First, because it falls on a Saturday and it’s a non-negotiable for us to have a Saturday wedding.

Second, our anniversary as boyfriend/girlfriend is September 20th, and he proposed to me on September 5th of last year (2020). Well, 20 + 5 = 25.

Perfect, right?

However, none of the wedding venues we initially considered was available on our chosen date. And the ones that were still available quoted us a price that was way more than the budget we allocated for the venue.

So Bernie and I made the decision to move our wedding date to March 12, 2022.

It was the #bestdecisionever … for more reasons than one.

Most venues consider December to March as off-peak seasons, which means lower rates. That, and the fact that it’s still a year away gives us more room to breathe. Lastly, the status of this pandemic still makes us uncomfortable to hold any gathering this year, so we thought that maybe by next year, things will be a lot better.

So March 12, 2022 it is—our official wedding date. And Bernie and I are super excited!!
