Our Unplugged Ceremony & Wedding Hashtag
Hear ye! Hear ye!
If you’ve gone over our FAQs page, then you must’ve already seen our response to the question of whether or not you can share the photos that you took during our wedding on your social media accounts.
And our response was “Yes”. However, we also did say that we want you to be fully present with us during our ceremony which is why we’ve decided to have it completely “unplugged”. This means no cameras, cell phones or other electronic devices until after the ceremony. So you’re welcome to take as many photos as you’d like once the ceremony is over.
No worries though. We have Matt Reiter, our brilliant wedding photographer, who’s a master of capturing all the key moments of a wedding, and for sure he’ll have lots of amazing photos for us to enjoy later on. We’ll be more than happy to share them right away with you.
We also request that you tag each photo with our official wedding hashtag #MySaidYEStrada so we can keep track of all of your pictures and make sure that all our social media photos and posts from our wedding are in one place, creating a 360° view of our big day.
If you’re wondering why it’s so important to us that you use our wedding hashtag each time you post our wedding photos on social—it’s because we want all our families and friends to be able to stay connected via the hashtag, even our loved ones who can’t be at the wedding. It allows everyone who follows the hashtag to react to each other’s posts, even get to know each other and meet new people. Furthermore, a hashtag makes it easier to locate all the photos on various social media platforms.
Bernie and I would like for you to use our wedding hashtag to mark any and all wedding-related festivities, even before the actual wedding starts—use it to share photos of you shopping for your outfit, getting ready for the event, or while you’re en route to the wedding venue.
This will give all of us who are following the hashtag a way to enjoy everyone’s excitement as we’re preparing for the Big Day.
So whether you’re on Facebook or Instagram, and you’d like to view all photos related to our wedding, all you’ll need to do is to type our wedding hashtag in the search box.
By the way, don’t forget to download our official photo and video sharing app onto your mobile phone (it works on both iPhone and Android). Don’t worry, you can trust this app and it comes highly recommended by TheKnot.com. The name of the app is The Guest, formerly known as Veri. On your phone, you might still see it as Veri.
Here’s how it works:
When you click on the link above (using your mobile phone; it won’t work on your desktop or laptop), you’ll be prompted to download the app onto your phone.
Type the event code BERNIEANDMY2022 in the search bar and click on “JOIN”.
When the appointed time comes, the app will send you a notification to start snapping! Only then will the app be activated. So if you’re snapping and social-sharing wedding-related photos prior to the start time on the app, please use our wedding hashtag instead.
Each time you take pics using your iPhone or Android camera, the app shares the photo in a real-time feed for everyone to see.
Once the event is over, the sharing automatically stops.
You’ll also have the option to turn the auto-share function off at any time for photos that you don’t intend to share on social.
